24.10.09 TURVEY GETS REVERSE POLE AT MOTORLAND Oliver Turvey starts from pole position in this afternoon's Formula Renault 3.5 reverse grid race at the new Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain. The RSF driver finished eighth in the Superpole shootout for the FR3.5 Championship finale this morning after posting the fourth fastest lap in the earlier Group B qualifying session. "Finishing eighth in the Superpole is brilliant if you can plan it," he said. "But ninth would have been a disaster. So I have to be pleased with the way things turned out. "Pole position this afternoon gives me a really good chance of closing in on the top three. "Let's hope with the limited amount of running time we had yesterday that we opt for a set up that suits the race." << back to news
