| TURVEY FOURTH
IN SILVERSTONE SUPERPOLE |
|
Oliver Turvey secured himself a row three start for
today's Formula Renault 3.5 reverse grid race at Silverstone with fourth
fastest time in this morning's Superpole.
The RSF driver, who finished
fifth in the earlier Group A qualifying session, starts fifth on the grid
alongside Brendon Hartley his former British F3 team mate.
In tomorrow's
pitstop race, the pair starts from the second row.
Turvey was pleased to
be on the pace after his track time in yesterday's second test was cut short by
a faulty steering wheel sensor. The glitch - which struck when he came in for
new tyres - left him stranded in neutral in the pits for the remainder of the
session.
"Unfortunately, I made a mistake on my quick lap today but it
was good enough for fourth, so I can't be too disappointed with that. I think
we have the race pace to do well later, so hopefully I'll be able to do
something about my points deficit in the table."
